Alpine Meadows

Alpine Meadows is a stunning cows milk cheese, coated in herbs and flowers to make one of the most beautiful edible rinds we sell.

The flavour is complex and fragrant, helped along by the herbs in the rind, though the blend itself is a closely guarded secret. The cheese is aged for over twelve months and develops savoury umami notes with hints of meaty broth, a genuinely comforting taste.

Alpine Meadows comes from Jumi, who make their cheeses in the Emmental Valley where the cows graze the lush pasture and cheesemaking begins while the milk is still warm from the cow.

All cheeses are hand cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as we can and happy to offer advice on purchasing the right amount if you are unsure. If you would like a price for larger weights or whole cheeses, please call us.

Your cheese is cut fresh to order, wrapped and packed by hand and delivered on the day you choose. We deliver across the UK from Tuesday to Friday each week. If you are ordering for a gift or special occasion we advise you to always allow an extra day in case of any unforeseen courier delays.

Cured meats are the obvious route. For something less obvious, try it with dark chocolate, which pushes the umami notes further forward.
