Selles Sur Cher AOC is a French goats milk cheese made in Centre Val De Loire, France and is named after where it was first made in the 19th century.
Selles Sur Cher AOC is a small individual cheese. The texture and consistency are typical of most goats cheeses, firm at first but moist and softening as it melts in the mouth and as the cheese matures becoming gooey and spreadable. It is tangy, distinctive and rich tasting with a velvet texture. The taste is lightly salty with a persistent aftertaste. The exterior is dry with a grey-blue mould covering on its surface. The mould is often eaten and has a considerably stronger flavour.
Selles Sur Cher AOC is delicious grilled or enjoyed drizzled with honey and topped with walnuts.
The individual cheese weighs approx 150g.
