A full-flavoured, clothbound, handmade, farmhouse baby cheddar truckle weighing at around 1.8-2kg. Created on the farm in Devon by Mary Quicke and her team, this cheese is fabulous for a large gathering and makes a wonderful gift. Mary Quicke has received the award for ‘Exceptional Contribution to Cheese’ at the World Cheese Awards 2015.
A complex creamy cheddar that offers an outstanding depth of flavour. An exquisitely distinctive taste develops as it reaches the back of the palate. Typically matured for 12 to15 months with a rich, buttery, meadow grass flavour. The cheese is wrapped in cloth and coated in lard to encase the cheese and keep it fresh and the flavours locked in. Simply unwrap the cheese from the cloth when you are ready to eat it and break into the deliciously buttery cheese.
