Kostarelos Dairy has been producing traditional cheese and dairy products since 1937, when Kostarelos Senior had a small traditional taverna where he made feta, yoghurt and rice pudding. Collecting milk from selected small farms in the region of Messogia in southern Greece. The production methods that date back over three generations have not changed.
Kostarelos Barrel aged Feta is a PDO product, entirely handmade and produced exclusively from fresh pasteurised goats and sheep milk. Made using home made rennet, the maturation process takes place in beech barrels for a minimum of 6 months, but usually between 12-18 months to develop its characteristic rich, robust and intense flavours.
Sold as a vacuum packed wedge at approx. 200g.
