Enjoy the best of the Alpine cheeses with this incredible delivery of mountainous greats! The pack includes Raclette, Reblochon, Kaltbach Alpine and Comte AOC. You also receive Italian Antipasto Meats, Fourseed Sourdough Crackers and a jar of mini Balsamic Onions. All the elements needed to recreate these well-known and much-loved dishes.

Recipes included in this delivery for melted Raclette, Tartiflette (a classic skiing dish made with Reblochon) and Fondue (made with Kaltbach and Comte). Of course, the cheeses don’t have to be cooked so it’s a brilliant delivery for those who love to experiment.

All of our cheeses are sent out cut, wrapped and packed freshly by hand in a beautifully presented gift box. No costs will be visible on gift delivery paperwork. Raclette (Swiss)

To call Raclette (Swiss) a cheese is a total understatement, it’s a national dish! Dishes of melted cheese were mentioned in medieval texts from Swiss convents as early as 1291. The melted cheese was originally consumed by peasants in the mountainous Alpine regions of the cantons of Valais and Fribourg (Switzerland), and Savoie and Haute-Savoie (France). Traditionally, cow herders carried cheese with them when they were moving cows to or from pastures up in the mountains. In the evening, the cheese would be placed next to a campfire for softening, then scraped onto bread. Pairing Suggestion - PERELLO PICKLE MIX This particular Swiss Raclette comes in rectangular wedges ready for melting pans, however, if you would like Raclette for a circular Raclette machine please email [email protected]. If you want to receive your Raclette in slices, please ask or add it to the notes on the checkout page.

Kaltbach Alpine
Weight: approx 200g.
Kaltbach Alpine is a firm pressed, deliciously smooth, Swiss mountain cheese made using the finest, fresh Swiss cream and cows milk. Kaltbach Alpine in matured in caves that are found in the Santenberg mountain in Switzerland, where the cheeses have been matured since the 1950's. Kaltbach Alpine has all the qualities you would expect from any alpine cheese. It has a creamy, buttery and slightly nutty flavour and is a delicious alternative to Gruyere when cooking. Reblochon AOC
Weight: approx 500g.
Reblochon AOC is a soft, washed-rind and smear-ripened cheese traditionally made from raw cows milk. The cheese is well-aged in an airy cellar, characteristics of this ageing can be seen in the rind of this cheese which is covered with a fine white mould. Pairing Suggestion - cured meats A whole cheese weighs approx 450-500g  

Comte AOC 24 Months
Weight: approx 200g.
A smooth, creamy and nutty mountain cheese - one of the most popular and finest French cheeses, with a good intensity of flavour which improves with aging (up to 24 months). Pairing Suggestion - Quince Paste The Comte AOC comes in 3kg wedges if you would like a whole wedge please contact us and we can arrange this for you

Local Fourseed Sourdough Crackers
Weight: approx 100g.
Fourseed Sourdough Crackers are unique crackers made by a local bakery. Made from the starter used for their fresh sourdough loaves, creating toasty, crunchy, robust crackers. The result is deliciously moreish with a nutty flavour and the addition of toasted seeds. These are perfect with most cheeses and ideal for dipping in softer cheeses like Delice de Bourgogne or baked Tunworth. Pairing Suggestion - soft cheeses Each bag weighs approx. 100g.
