Coulommiers cheese is named after Coulommiers in the Seine-et-Marne region of France. This is the place where it was produced for the first time. Although the cheese is very similar to and has the same characteristics as Brie, it has actually been produced for longer. Coulommiers with peppercorns is smaller and thicker than Brie. The cheese is made from triple cream and unpasteurised cow’s milk and has a bloomy edible rind.
The Coulommiers with peppercorns has a layer of red and black perppercorns mixed with creme fraiche running through the middle, making a delicious sandwich. The taste of the peppercorns cuts through the creamy centre of the cheese perfectly.
Please note all cheeses are hand cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as we can!
