The Cheese Society Cheese Cafe opened on 14th February 2002 and it has been an increasingly popular Lincoln lunchtime venue.  The licensed cafe is small and intimate, seating just 22 customers, with a style that is light and airy, and as the shop and cafe are combined, with a continental feel. 

The shop & cafe opens for hot & cold breakfasts from 10.00am until 11.30am and then serves lunch throughout the day.  We close at 4.30 pm and suggest that the latest time to order and enjoy lunch is around 3.30pm. You can enjoy wine, local beers and cider with your meal and have a menu that consists mainly of dishes featuring our farmhouse cheeses. Please have a look at our menu and blackboards, as we do have dishes for non-cheese eaters, gluten-free people and vegetarians.

Our regular changing Specials Blackboard always features three main courses, Meat, Fish and a Vegetarian option, unless of course we have sold out! The Cafe Classic's blackboard also details our Fixed Price Menu of  freshly prepared two & three course lunches which are served from Monday to Friday, Two Courses £12.50, Three Courses £16.75.  We buy as locally, seasonally and freshly as possible from our trusted suppliers and prepare everything we sell in our kitchens.  Items marked with an asterisk* on our blackboards & menu - are products that can be taken away and enjoyed at home.  Often, our customers are just a little too full to enjoy a dessert at the time but can't resist the temptation later.....

Sorry, we do not operate a booking system - please just turn up and we will try to seat everyone as quickly as possible.  Even if it looks really busy, we generally have a good idea of when a table should become available.

 We regret that we cannot accomodate children under 10 years of age.
